Dr. Joseph Howell is an ambassador of education and Senior Fellow in the Center for Youth Development. In his long career in education, Dr. Howell has refined solutions for community and youth development through senior leadership posts at the U.S. Office of Economic Opportunity, U.S. Department of Education Southwest Regional Lab, and at the Lincoln Corps Center. For many years he has traveled once a month between the "Glades" city of Palm Beach County, Florida and Washington, D.C. to seek national attention to the challenges and fortitude of its youth. Working closely with Street Beat Inc, an afterschool arts program, Dr. Howell's goal has been to infuse the community with best practices to build a new generation of leaders that find answers of substance.
